1. How to Contact WealthScale
Two email addresses. Use info@wealthscale.ca for everything except privacy requests, which go to privacy@wealthscale.ca. The table shows where each kind of message goes and what to include so we can answer it in one reply.
| Reason for writing | What to include | |
|---|---|---|
| General question about a page | info@wealthscale.ca | The page address and your question |
| Report an error | info@wealthscale.ca | The page address, the figure that looks wrong and where you saw the correct one |
| Media enquiry | info@wealthscale.ca | Your name, outlet, topic and deadline |
| Partnership enquiry | info@wealthscale.ca | Your company, the product and the kind of partnership |
| Privacy request | privacy@wealthscale.ca | What you are asking for and the email address you used with us |
Use a clear subject line. Please start the subject with the reason for writing, such as “Correction”, “Media” or “Privacy”. It helps your message reach the right person sooner.
Keep personal details out. Please never send passwords, account numbers, your social insurance number or tax documents. We do not need them to answer any question, and email is not the place for them.
2. Report an Error or a Wrong Figure
What to send. To report an error, please email info@wealthscale.ca with three things:
- The page address, copied from your browser.
- The figure or statement that looks wrong, as it appears on the page.
- Where you saw the correct one, such as a provider’s current pricing, a notice from the Canada Revenue Agency or a government publication, with its date if it has one.
What happens next. We check the figure against its primary source. If the page is wrong, we correct it and update the page date. Every page ends with a line that says when its figures were last checked and against which type of source.
What counts as an error. A wrong or out-of-date rate, fee or limit; a rule that has changed; a calculation that does not add up; or a product feature that is described wrongly. A disagreement with a score is not an error, but the scoring rules are published in how we rate online brokers and robo-advisors.
The full policy. Our editorial standards explain the sources we use, how often each type of figure is re-checked and how corrections work.
3. Media Enquiries
Where to write. Journalists and producers can email info@wealthscale.ca with “Media” in the subject line.
What to include. Please give your name, your outlet, the topic and your deadline. If you are asking about a figure on one of our pages, include the page address.
Who is behind WealthScale. Pages are written by Sharad Gondaliya, CPA, and our financial reviewer for investing and account pages is Neha Gupta, CFA. She reviews WealthScale’s investing and account pages: platforms, brokers, robo-advisors, TFSA, RRSP, FHSA, RESP and bank accounts. Tax rules, government benefits and final approval are Sharad’s. Her review line shows a date on a page only after she signs that page off.
Background. Our about page describes who publishes WealthScale, what we cover and how we stay independent.
4. Partnership Enquiries
Where to write. Providers interested in a partner program can email info@wealthscale.ca with “Partnership” in the subject line.
Where things stand. WealthScale has no partner (affiliate) links today. Partner applications are in progress.
The rules that do not change. Payment never changes which providers we include, their score, their order on a list or the style of their button. Every partner link will carry a visible “Partner link” label. No provider can pay for a review or a sponsored ranking. Our advertiser disclosure sets out these rules in full.
Correcting your own pricing. If your fees, rates or account features have changed, please send the change and the date it took effect. We check it against your published pricing, the same way we check a reader’s report.
5. Privacy Requests
Where to write. Email privacy@wealthscale.ca for any request about personal information.
Our privacy officer. Sharad Gondaliya is WealthScale’s privacy officer and is responsible for privacy requests.
What to include. Please say what you are asking for and give the email address you used with us, so we can find any information linked to it.
Our policy. Our privacy policy explains how WealthScale handles personal information. Use of the site is also covered by our terms of use and disclaimer.
6. What We Can and Cannot Help With
WealthScale is a publisher, not a bank, broker, dealer or accounting firm. That sets the limits on what we can do by email.
We can help with

- Reports of a wrong or out-of-date figure
- How a score or a cost comparison was worked out
- Which of our calculators fits a question
- Media enquiries
- Partnership enquiries from providers
- Privacy requests about information we hold
We cannot help with
- Personal financial, investment, tax or legal advice
- Telling you which stock, ETF, fund or crypto to buy
- Choosing an account or provider for your situation
- Opening, closing or accessing any account
- Problems with an account at a bank, broker or platform
- Preparing or filing a tax return
- Questions about your own Canada Revenue Agency account
Why we cannot advise you. WealthScale provides general information only. We do not know your income, goals, tax position or tolerance for risk, so we cannot say what suits you. For advice on your own situation, please speak with a qualified professional who can review your facts.
Problems with an account. We cannot see, open or change any account. For a problem with an account, please contact the provider that holds it.
7. Response Times
Our aim. We aim to reply within two business days. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
Corrections. A reply to an error report tells you whether the page was wrong. If it was, the page is corrected and its date updated.
If you have not heard back. Please check your spam folder for a reply from a wealthscale.ca address, then write again with the same subject line.
8. Mailing Address
By mail. WealthScale Media Inc., 55 Queen St E, Suite 1205, Toronto, ON M5C 1R6, Canada.
Email is faster. Mail takes longer to reach us than email, so please use email when you can. Please do not mail original documents.
